A group, South-South All Progressives Congress Stakeholders Forum and other APC stalwarts today lauded the Abuja Municipal Area Council Chairman, Hon. Musa Abdullahi Candido for the all inclusiveness in his administration in line with equity and fairness; calling on other Area Councils to emulate the stride.
The group while singling out the Executive Chairman as the best in the FCT said his records and achievements thus far underscores his avowed commitment to entrench good governance at the grassroots level.
The National Chairman of the group, Comrade Abdulwahab Ekekhide A. who made this known during a courtesy visit to the council boss, said the aim of the group’s visit is to show appreciation to the Chairman, mobilise, sensitise and educate the rural and urban population on the importance of voting right and supporting government policies; most especially that of the All Progressives Congress at all levels.
“We are very much aware of your pedigree in appointing quality people from the South-South to steer the ship of government with you as Chairman Abuja Municipal Area Council; we therefore applaud your giant strides and wish to see you as partner in progress,” Abdulwahab said while asking for more synergy between the area council and the group. The group however solicited for the support of the Chairman to do more for the people of the South South.
The council boss, in his response, who thanked the group for the visit, said his administration will not stop at harnessing available resources for the benefits of the people in the area council. He identified various empowerment programmes embarked upon by his wife, Mrs. Nseabasi Jumbo among ways the council has designed in reaching out to the less privileged and vulnerable in the society.
Present at the august visit is the Director General, Cross River State Due Process & Price Intelligence Bureau (CRS–DPPIB), Alphonsus Ogar Eba who eulogized the executive chairman on his people oriented policies; most especially finding people from the South- South extraction worthy enough to be part of his government. The Director General further extended a personal invitation to the executive chairman for an all expense paid trip to attend the 2107 Calabar Carnival holding next month at the people’s paradise….. Cross River State.
Responding in his vote of thanks, the Supervisor for Health at the council, Hon. Gabriel Bravo Oluohu expressed deep and profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman for finding him and others from the South-South capable enough to serve in his administration. Bravo Oluohu further pledged his willingness and readiness to always amplify the programs and administrative agenda of the Hon. Candido policies in the Abuja Municipal Area Council.
Highlights of the visit include the presentation of a plaque to the distinguished Chairman in recognition of his landmark achievements and meritorious service as Chairman Abuja Municipal Area Council.
Dignitaries present includes HRM Edidem king (Dr) Udosen Obong, Iberedem Ndito Akwa Ubom 1st Fct Abuja; President General South South Chiefs and Elders Council International, a host of Supervisory Councillors, Senior Special Assistant’s, Special Assistant’s and executive members of the South-South All Progressives Congress Stakeholders Forum.
