The speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, on Monday commissioned a mobile clinic provided for internally displaced persons (IDPs) camp located in Wassa, Abuja.
The mobile clinic was donated by a private citizen, one Capt Hosa Okunbo, to help cater for the health need of those in the IDPs camp.
The speaker, who disclosed this in his Facebook post noted that when he visited the camp in January, the people expressed their need for a clinic.
He said, “Today, I commissioned a mobile clinic at the IDP camp in Wassa, Abuja. I had previously visited the camp in January to donate relief materials and during that visit, the people expressed an urgent need for a clinic.
“This mobile clinic was donated by a private citizen, Capt. Hosa Okunbo, and I hope that this kind gesture would encourage others to support IDPs with whatever they can.”
