SGF, Ministers Congratulate Jedy On Honorary Doctorate Degree

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustafa and Ministers of Aviation, Labour, Employment and Productivity, and that of State, Environment have congratulated Goddy Jedy Agba, OFR, Minister of State, Power for his nomination for an award of Honorary Doctorate Degree by Benson Idahosa University, BIU.

The top government functionaries in separate goodwill messages said that the award was well deserved owing to Agba’s incredible track record of excellent performance in all the positions of responsibility he has found himself.

Recall that Mr. Agba has been nominated by BIU for the conferment of an Honorary Causa in its 16th convocation ceremony coming up on the 17th of this month at the University’s Legacy Campus, Okha, Benin City, Edo State.

Mustapha in his goodwill message said that “I wish to join your family, numerous friends, well-wishers and associates in congratulating you for this recognition on your service to humanity and lifetime achievements.

This award is indeed a well deserved one, given your incredible track record of excellent performance in all the positions of responsibility you have found yourself in and selfless service towards the actualization of a better Nigeria. I am therefore optimistic that this recognition of your exceptional contributions to society will spur you to do more for the benefit of humanity “.

On his part, Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, averred that “the award of an honorary degree is usually a thought out process to confer honors on deserving dignitaries who have made significant marks in life. I am therefore not surprised about your nomination for this award, in view of your goodwill and immense contributions to the peace and progress of this nation”.

Senator Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour, Employment and Productivity noted that the award didn’t come as a surprise to him considering Agba’s track records of performance. He wished him luck and charged him to see the recognition as a call to do more for the country.

While wishing the awardee a blissful ceremony, Sharon Ikeazor, Honourable Minister of State, Environment added that “I congratulate you immensely on this recognition of your noble contributions to the nation and humanity in general by Benson Idahosa University authority”.
