The attention of the press unit of Yala local government council has been drawn to a post making the rounds on social media platforms by some media bugs, that the Executive Chairman of Yala Local Government Council, Honourable Fabian Ogbeche did not celebrate the Yuletide season with his people.
To put the record straight, it will be recalled that the council helmsman who is very sensitive to the plight of his people over time, has never relented in doing the needful since his inception as chairman of council and not just the yultide celebration as felt by this few persons.
It is also on record, that before any local government chairman in the State, Hon Fabian Ogbeche had earlier in the month of December last year distributed over 1000 bags of rice across the fourteen wards of Yala Local Government Area, and even prior to the christmas celebration, he gave out cash, cows and other gift items to constituents like former local government Chairmen, Commissioners, Board Chairmen, State House of Assembly members, appointees, royal fathers, legislatures, stakeholders, civil servants, exco members, media team members and a host of others, which so many can attest to.
It is therefore, very laughable and mischievous to come online and make cheap public comments that are directly and indirectly targeted at dragging the hard earned reputation of the chairman to disrepute, even as much as there are aware that he enjoyed unprecedented degree of goodwill and support from his people.
Sadly, the unwholesome trend by some of these attention seeking media bugs who has never seen anything good about some of our leaders, has uncontrollably lingered with all attendant ill intentions to stir and mould negative political mobilization and mindsets against the Honourable chairman and other notable leaders.
While we urge all members of the public to always disregard any baseless and unguided utterances by these few rabble-rousing bugs on the person and integrity of Hon Fabian Ogbeche, we kindly wish to advise them to concentrate on making lives meaningful for themselves or better still channel their frustration elsewhere rather than casting aspersions on the Executive Chairman.
However, they should be informed that Hon Fabian Ogbeche is a silent achiever in terms of charitable deeds and knowing that he holds the mandate of his people and will never want to toil with the mandate freely given by the good people of Yala. He will remain focus on repositioning the council and deliver democratic dividends to the good people of Yala in the New Year 2021.
Finally, Hon Fabian Ogbeche will continue to work in the best interest of all within the ambit of the provisions of the law and the overall growth of the Yala Local Government Area.
