Princess Otanya Odey is well-known to many People in Yala and by extension, Cross River State but perhaps some of her qualities need to be highlighted for a better understanding of who this personality is.
She is different things to different people but certain things that are not in question are her humility, approachability, compassion, respectfulness and generosity, which have distinguished her from many others in the political and circular spaces as well as personal relationship in Yala.
Oftentimes, when she is at home in Yala, you see the admirable Princess dancing, hugging and interacting with people from all walks of life, listening to their concerns, and working tirelessly to address them. In fact, her doors are open to all and sundry, which is unique to her in comparative terms, within the Yala political context. This genuine connection with the people has endeared her to their hearts, making her a true leader of the people.
Princess Otanya Odey is a rare gem whose style of leadership pedigree and antecedents speak to the true virtues and qualities of an educated and enlightened mind as well as a politician who respects and thrives to keep the people’s trust.
Obviously, the good people of Yala have bought into her thoughts because, she has consistently demonstrated that charity and philanthropy are essential ingredients of good leadership that is based on selflessness where the masses are its significant focus.
Devoid of sentiment, I must confess she is the leadership breed we are yearning for in Yala and Cross River State at large. I say this because, I have seen genuine intentions and the willingness to share the burdens of the people with them in her.
Trust me, this rare Gem (Princess Otanya) is not just a politician, but a beacon of hope and inspiration, especially to the downtrodden. As a consummate servant-leader and philanthropist, she shows an extraordinary possession of a heart of gold by constantly bearing the suffering of the poorest of the poor.
Coming from a disciplined, hard working and humble background, she grew up to become a humane, sociable, and a service oriented person; extremely kind, amiable, fair minded and one who relates seamlessly with everyone without discrimination on the basis of class, gender, race, religion or ethnicity. Indeed, Otanya is a leader par excellence, and this is demonstrated by her willingness to forgive those who betray or fight her when they run back to her again for survival, something that irks majority of us her loyal followers.
What more can I say! Princess Otanya Odey is simply a rare gem with a heart of gold. We can’t wait to have her at the helm of affairs where she will have a better platform to reach out and champion the burdens of the people with outstanding workable ideas.
