NCPC PROMOTES 4 DIRECTORS, 17 SENIOR OFFICERS

BY EBRIKU JOHN FRIDAY

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has promoted four Deputy Directors to substantive Directors on salary grade level 17, while seventeen officers in various cadres had been promoted in various grades.

In a circular released on November 22, 2019 and duly signed by the Assistant Director Administration Mr. Nkaiso Edemenang on behalf of the Ag. Executive Secretary, stated that the promotion took effect from 1st January, 2019.

The newly promoted Directors and other officers were those who emerged successfully in a recent credible and highly competitive examination validly conducted by the Commission in collaboration with the Federal Civil Service Commission, FCSC, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, OSGF, as well as the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, OHOCSF, in line with extant rules and regulations.

It is therefore instructive to state that the four-brand new set of Directors are the first ever to attain this height in the history of the Commission, considering the fact that NCPC is still a young organization which was established in 2007 by an Act of the National Assembly.

The newly Directors are: Mr. Peter Okhuleigbe, FCA, Mr. Barnabas Ali, Barr. Sonny Ebiyaibo and Rev. Amos Yohanna.

The promotion was approved by the Board of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission in their 4th scheduled meeting having been endorsed earlier by the Senior Staff Committee (SSC) of the Commission in accordance with the public service rules.

The released promotion list showed that 21 Senior Officers were promoted while a Staff was converted and upgraded to the Executive Officers Cadre.

Certainly, this promotion will no doubt galvanize the newly elevated Directors and officers to put in their best for the Commission as this would definitely boost the morale of the affected officers.

The Commission under the able leadership of the Ag. Executive Secretary, Mrs. Esther Kwaghe is committed to improving the welfare of staff and promotion is one of the best incentives that can boost staff morale in an organization. This is to her credit and is in line with her philosophy of touching lives of the staff.
