NCPC Holds Valedictory Service For It’s Ex-Security Chief

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) last Friday, April 28, 2017 held a valedictory service for Mr. Kunle Oleshin, the former Head of Security Unit of the Commission.

The service which took place at the NCPC Chapel was witnessed by large chunk of Management and Staff of the Commission.

In his remark, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Tor Uja, commended Mr. Kunle Oleshin for having the boldness to take a bow to take up higher responsibility in the State of Osun, his home state. In the words of the NCPC boss, “I love young people who take bold steps to actualize their life ambition”. He advised him to be focused and look forward to God. He added, “please know that God will never fail those who put their trust in Him”. Rev. Uja further affirmed: “I devote about 75% of my life to helping the young people”.

He assured Mr. Oleshin of his support and love. He reaffirmed that he has found a friend in him and would be willing and dispose to render any assistance and advice whenever the need arises.

Earlier, Mr. Oleshin thanked God for the opportunity to serve the Commission for about seven years, having joined the employ of the Commission in December, 2010. In an emotion laden voice, he recalled with nostalgia his experience with the Commission and how he fared these years.

He thanked the Executive secretary of NCPC Rev. Uja for being a father and for bringing out the best in him within this one year of his administration.

Mr. Okunle Oleshin admonished the Staff to join forces with the Executive Secretary to build a healthy and progressive Commission.

Mr. Oleshin had held different strategic positions since 2010 when he joined NCPC. He was the pioneer Zonal Coordinator of NCPC Zonal Office in Lagos, former Head of Sensitization Department at the headquarters and former Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit. Until the time of his resignation, he was the Head of Security Unit.

Mr. Olakunle Oleshin who is a political scientist by training, voluntarily resigned his appointment with NCPC to pursue his political carrier with Osun State government.

The highlight of the valedictory service was a special prayer for Mr. Oleshin conducted by the Executive Secretary, Rev.  Tor Uja. Afterwards, he presented a gift to him in appreciation of his meritorious service to the Commission.
