In preparation for the 2017 Christian Pilgrimage exercise to Israel, Rome or Greece, the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission will hold its 2017 Federal Medical Team selection Examination on Saturday 24th June, 2017 at the six geo-political zones across the country for the October/December pilgrimage exercise.
The Federal Medical Team (FMT) of the Pilgrimage comprises Medical personnel who shall serve on batches in accompanying and attending to pilgrims during general pilgrimage from October to December 2017.
Disclosing this in his office in Abuja, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Tor Uja stated that the selection of Medical Team would be based strictly on merit with the best candidates selected from each state. The examination will be held simultaneously in Bwari, Abuja (North Central), Dutse (North West), Umuahia (South East), Ibadan (South West), Asaba (South-South) and Jalingo (North East) on the same day.
The Medical Personnel eligible to apply for the examination are Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses and Medical Laboratory Scientists. The examinations, conducted by JAMB for NCPC, would be written on-line, with results made immediately available to the candidates.
Rev. Uja assured that the Commission working in partnership with JAMB, has put in place a mechanism for a free and fair examinations, adding that he would do everything to ensure a hitch free pilgrimage exercise this year, part of which is by selecting qualified and credible Federal Medical Team Members that would take care of the medical needs of the pilgrims in the Holy Land.
