NCPC Boss Lauds Methodist Church Over Contributions To Devt Of Nigeria

The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev Yakubu Pam has applauded the Methodist church in Nigeria for their contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria.

Rev Pam disclosed this in Jos yesterday in a statement by the Head, Media and Public Relations of NCPC, Celestine Toruka, when he paid a courtesy visit to the Methodist Archbishop of Jos, Rt. Rev. Thomas Tsav at his official residence in Untan, Alheri, Jos , Plateau State capital.

In the words of the NCPC boss,” if you remove Methodist Church in Nigeria you will be sure their will be big vacuum”.

He stated that Methodist church caters for both the spiritual and physical needs of their members as well as the less privileged persons in the society.

Rev Pam reiterated that he had been able to identify with past and present leaders of the church some of whom were national leaders of CAN and Prelate of the Church at a time.

To this end,he asserted that he knew the history and workings of the the Methodist church which he said he was proud to identify with the church .

He appreciated the Archbishop for his contributions to the peace in Jos city .He further expressed satisfaction with the calibre of the Archbishop whom he described as a man of justice and an agent of peace.

Rev Pam intimated the Lordship that the last Saturday’s Local Government polls in Plateau State was peaceful which informed his earlier visit to church leaders in the state on the need for peaceful Local Government polls.

Earlier, the Methodist Archbishop of Jos, Rt Rev Thomas Tsav commended the NCPC boss for the good work he has done in the church in northern Nigeria.

He affirmed that the NCPC boss never got tired with the work of God and had always visited Jos to pray for the peace of Plateau State.

He told his guest that the whole church were filled with enthusiasm for his visit which they would remain eternally grateful.
