The Chairman of the Board of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC, Pastor Yomi Kasali has assured that the Board of the Commission would run an open door Policy where all issues concerning the Commission would be treated with fairness. He disclosed this today in Abuja during a maiden interactive meeting with Board and Staff of the Commission.
In the words of the Chairman, “I am a man of fairness. I judge with fairness because I want the Holy Ghost to lead my life” He further stated: “Let’s treat men and women well because this is a Christian Organisation”.
Pastor Kasali further affirmed: The Board will run an open door Policy and all I want is fairness, equity and just”.
He admonished the Staff to maintain a high level of honour and commitment in the discharge of their duties. His words: “I will affect you positively and you will affect me so that there will be Justice at the end”.
He stressed the need for continous engagement with the Staff as that would diminish speculations and gossips as he believed in appropriate engagement with people.
The Chairman further advised members of Staff to always give support to the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Tor Uja and be by his side as him and the Board would ensure that the Commission is run with integrity and ensure that the welfare of Staff are not compromised.
He said he has known the Executive Secretary for quite some time with whom he has tremendous respect for, adding that all the Staff are precious and honoured.
The quintessential Pastor also stressed the need to rebrand the Commission for greater visibility and impact .According to him, “If the brand is strong, people will respect our Pilgrimage Process”. He added, “We need to get people to know more about us”.
While sharing from the Bible passage- Isaiah chapter 11 from verses 1-5, the Chairman explained that he would like the Commission to be run with the spirit of the passage where the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon every member of Staff as “ the Lord will not judge by appearance, false evidence or hear say”.
Responding, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev. Tor Uja urged the Staff to give maximum cooperation for the new Board. According to him: “all these people are very important to our lives and to our country”
He further enjoined the Staff to wake up and work effectively. His words: “let’s improve and move forward”.
Rev Uja also charged them to give the new Board the maximum honour needed and show a classical example of how an establishment of this type should be run.
The Board of NCPC was formally inaugurated on 27 February, 2018 by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha.
The new Chairman of NCPC Board, is the General Overseer of the Foundation of Truth Assembly Lagos with branches in Abuja and other cities.
The NCPC new Board comprises members from each geo-political zones and FCT.
