Civil Society Network for Good Governance an umbrella body of 87 CSOs has told the football body distractors to desist from their antics and let the world enjoy the goodies that is coming out of the glass house in peace.
The Network through its President Adefila Kamal was reacting to the news of some elements calling as hypocritical the celebration of the First Lady of Nigeria, Dr (Mrs) Oluremi Tinubu to the ongoing masterclass performance of the super falcons of Nigeria in Australia. Adefila Said the enemies of Nigerian football are always sad and depressed anytime our teams are doing great as they believe it will greatly affect their bad news marketing business, more so, the Tinubu administration is committed to sports development as he repeatedly said in his manifesto, the cabinet so far is filled with football enthusiasts so the girls knows the nation awaits them in Victory.
“we all know that the Nigerian Economy is passing through some rough patches recently, and this has greatly affected the sponsorship of football generally in Nigeria, so yes the NFF might be behind in some payments due to this but the girls do absolutely believe in the leadership strides of the President of the NFF, Ibrahim Gusau to bring in the desired change, or how do you justify the do-or-die spirit our girls are exhibiting on the field of play if not motivation” the statement reads in part.
He concluded by wooing the pessimists to join the winning team and don’t wait until our girls bring back the World Cup, by then, it might be too late to enjoy the happiness that comes with such. He pleaded with Nigerians to continue to support our falcons and pray they bring home the price.
