Intervention Projects: Rose Oko Expends N176m On 23 Schools In Cross River North

Twenty three schools across northern senatorial district of Cross River State are set to benefit from the 2016 zonal intervention projects of Senator Rose Oko at the cost of N176 million.

According to the senator representing the senatorial district in the upper legislative chamber, the zonal intervention projects include, the donation of 11,000 books and reference books to 10 schools; science equipment to five schools; school desk to three primary schools and construction of two classroom blocks each to five schools.

The intervention projects, which will be spread across schools within the five local governments areas of the senatorial district will be done between this week and next.

The schools to benefit from textbook include, Community Science School, Olachor, Okpoma; Igbeku Comprehensive Secondary School, Okuku; O’nwu Secondary Grammer School, Yahe; Technical Secondary School, Ijiraga; Government Science School, Egbe-Mbube East; Begiaka Technical School, Begiaka, Obudu; Comprehensive Secondary School, Gakem; Community Secondary School, Utugwan; Community Secondary School, Ishibori, Urban I and

Government Science School, Ipong; Community Science School, Olachor, Okpoma; Community Secondary School, Ukpa; Secondary Grammar School, Wanokom; and Government Secondary School, Ijiegu, Yache are to benefit from science equipment and books.

School desk are donated to Community Primary School, Ijama, O’oh; Community Primary School, Eshakom, Ntara II, Ekajuk; and Community Primary School, Okpodon 3 Igede, Ukelle North.

And Bugene I, Primary School, Sankwala, Obanliku; Bagga Secondary School, Otanga, Obanliku; St. Patrick Primary School, Egbe-Mbube (Mbube West I), Ogoja; Community Science School Olachor, Okpoma Yala and Covent Primary School, Ugaga, Yala will get two blocks of classrooms each.

Senator Oko, who was elected to the Senate under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform in the 2015 senatorial election was also a former member of the House of Representatives in the 7th National Assembly.
