GROUP BACKS GOV AYADE CONDEMNS BOOING AT BURIAL OF ITA- EKPENYONG WIFE’S BURIAL

It is naturally sad when anyone losses loved one talk more of one’s wife and mother of his children. We join Mr ita ekpenyong, his immediate and extended family members to mourn their loss.

We therefore send our sincere condolences to all concerns. It is on record how passionate Gov Ayade feels about people’s welfare, problems and hurt which is why he ran a government of social welfare by his appointment of over Eight thousand Aides which most of their service were not needed not minding the lean resources of the state but just to put food on the table of most families in need and provide support to most homes across the state. Long before Mr ekpenyong wife’s burial date was fixed, Gov Ayade out of desperation to hit the ground running in his second tenure and in other to complete the plethora of the uncommon projects he has in progress scattered across the state had had understanding and undertaking to meet with heads and captains of blue chip companies across the globe that were gathering at the annual Nor shipping conference in Oslo Norway in June.

This meeting we learnt authoritatively is set to bring over a billion Euro in eco-tourism to cross river state in the next eight months. It is therefore disheartening for some people to want to make political capital out of the governor’s absence in a funeral that he was ably represented by his deputy and a funeral that was supposed to be quiet and solemn at the detriment of a state function. It is sad that people tend to promote private functions beyond state function because of ignorance.

It is highly commendable that the governors of Rivers and Akwa Ibom states were present but, all governors don’t have the same timetables. His respected deputy governor was disrespected by people that were supposed to be in mourning and people paying last respect to the dead in the presence of God. That act of the so called booing in a church was sad a collective shame of the state and particularly those behind it.

The new cross river that is emerging under Governor Ayade would not have space for negative spirited people that promotes personal glorification above the development of the state. These same people has kept cross rivers state on its knees for too long and should therefore know that Governor Ayade this time around would not stop at anything to bring cross river state to the full glory it deserve.

Ayade would not have apologies to anyone at the interest of the state. When the interest of the state is at stake Ayade shall stand up and stand watch not minding whose interest he could be standing on. His loyalty and contract is with cross river before individuals. Once more, our sincere condolences to Mr Ita ekpenyong and the family.
