God saved me from ghastly motor accident to serve him – Reps aspirant, Agbese

…says popular preacher appeared to him with message for the world

Chief Philip Agbese, a House of Representatives aspirant from Benue State, has recalled how he miraculously survived a fatal accident.

Agbese, who is vying for the All Progressives Congress’ ticket to represent Ado/Ogbadigbo/Okpokwu Federal constituency in the Green Chamber, said he is alive to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The UK-trained law graduate was involved in ghastly motor accident at Odoba Hills, en route Otukpo in Benue State on April 10th.

But the media entrepreneur, who only just finished his campaign tour across the three LGAs in the zone, opted to remain mute after the accident.

However, speaking for the first time after almost a month, Agbese said God spared his life so that he can serve him more devotedly and touch more lives through philanthropy.

According to him, the accident was the handiwork of his political detractors who want him out of the way at all cost.

Speaking to newsmen on Saturday in Abuja, the human rights activist revealed that founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche appeared to him and rescued him from the incident.

Afterwards, he added that the respected preacher handed him a Bible and a bag containing numerous gift items.

He further revealed that Enenche directed him to use the holy book to spread the good news of Jesus and use the goody bag to reach out to more less-privileged people in the nation.

“My life is a testimony. I’m alive by the divine intervention of the lord,” Agbese said. “It was all planned out by my political opponents to eliminate me. I’m speaking to you by the mercies of God”.

Quoting from the book of Isaiah 59:19, he said “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against them”. “This is exactly my story,” he added.

“I am God’s minister. God revealed to me that those behind the accident will live to regret it and that I should forgive them. But I love them all and I have forgiven them.

“Nonetheless, I want to appeal to them to change their evil ways and come to Jesus. He is the way, the truth and life.

“ Like the disciples, I received the great commission to spread the gospel and touch more lives. These I will do as I continue my quest to bring quality representation to my people”.

Despite this setback, Agbese, however, said he is assured of victory at the APC’s primary, noting that he can not serve God and end up in disappointment.

The Okanga of Agila as he is fondly called, through his campaign team, recently submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms at the International Conference Centre Abuja.

Agbese has pledged to equip the youths through education and ICT while also empowering the women in agribusiness.
