Foreign investors from India who have chosen to invest in Cross River State, have embarked on a facility tour around the Ayade Industrial Park.
Conducting them round the industries at the Industrial Park, the commissioner for industries, Mr. Peter Egba assured the investors of absolute government support and enabling business environment in Cross River.
They said the state is security risk- free and the Governor, Sen.(Prof) Ben Ayade through his ebullient spirit of enterprise has structured all modalities to ensure business progression and make Cross River a safe haven for both domestic, interstates and foreign investors.
Facilities visited were the Chicken processing plant, which is built to process twenty one thousand birds daily through it automated chicken processing machineries and large cold storage facilities of world class standards.
The investors were also taken to the rice seedlings factory and the garment factory, which have a daily production capacity of three thousand clothes, with the making of military, NYSC and student uniforms as well as gowns and buttons with electrical powered machineries for assembling all kinds of clothing’s to suit human wearings.
At the 33kva power plant at TINAPA, which is constructed to power the industrial park, the street lights, the Calabar city with sufficient power to transmit out, the investors marveled at the wisdom and efforts of Governor Ben Ayade in putting all the structures needed to power INDUSTRIALIZATION in Cross River State.
“All they have seen in the state is suitable for any investor to do business in Cross River State and affirmed their readiness to invest and do business in Cross River State”, the industries commissioner stated.
The investors include Mr Adhi Narto, Group CEO of Dufil Nig Ltd, Board member, Tolaram group, Mr Madhukar Khetan, Md & CEO, Agro Allied Resources & Processing Nig Ltd, Mr Nishanth Gananatan, Head of Manufacturing, Noodles, Dufil and Mr Piyush Garg, Head of Flour Business, Dufil. The team was led by Mrs. Tola Johnson
The government team was led by the commissioner for industries Mr. Peter Egba and the Director-General, Investment Promotion Bureau, Barr. Rosemary Tutu Ekeng.
The investors also paid a courtesy visit on Governor Ben Ayade after their tour of all the facilities where they made a presentation to the governor on their findings.
