The Director General, Cross River State Due Process and Price Intelligence Bureau, Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq, on Wednesday urged local and International tourists to explore the tourism potential of the state as he tours Obudu Ranch Resort for Christmas Holiday.
The Director General made the appeal during his visit to the popular Obudu Ranch Resort for Christmas Holiday, Eba said that the state is an ideal location for tourists with places like Agbokun waterfall and the Marina Resort.
He said the state is endowed with varieties of landscape, monuments, rok arts dating back 2000 years, exotic hotels, recreational centres and many tourist attractions.
Cross River State is a beautiful place to be for leisure. It is home to every Nigerian,it is better to visit Cross River State for holidays than to travel abroad,we have all the world can desire in Cross River.
We are hospitable and accommodating; so we invite you all to visit the state and learn from its vast cultural and tourism endowments,” he said.
The Due Process Boss said the state is known as the “peoples paradise” because of her many tourist centers.
He said that the state remain one of the tourist centres in the country and the nerve centre for political, economic and social developments.
The state can be easily accessed by tourists because it shares boundaries with Benue, Ebonyi, Akwaibom, Cameron and Abia
Cross River State has many tourist centers which fall into the three senatorial zones of the state and each of these areas has many tourist attractions.
Cross River is made up of over 90 indigenous languages, lots of diversities but still united.
Eba was particularly grateful to the Governor, H. E, Sen Prof Ayade for the dual carriage way Access road from Abuochichie junction to obanlikwu which made the journey to the ranch stress less. He further added that the restoration of the cable car under the able management of Mr Bobby Ekpenyong, SA Ranch added a lot of glamour to the ranch.
The highly elated DG Due Process further confessed that the experience of his family in terms of fun and pleasure was not radically different from what they normally enjoy going out the country but he said he was pleased that in terms of economic analysis, less than 5% of what he spends when ever he travels out with his family for vacation is what he spent during this year’s Christmas vacation at the Obudu mountain resort.
