Cross River State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon Mrs Stella Oreme Odey-Ekpo, has felicitated with Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el’fitr.
Eid al-Fitr, a “festival of breaking the fast” which marks the end of Ramadan.
Hon. Odey-Ekpo in her Eid-el-Fitr message enjoins Muslims to consolidate on the their prayers during the fasting period by living in harmony with one another.
She further reiterated that, the occasion calls for deeper reflection on our love, as a people, nation and individual. She said the peace and unity of the world lies on peace within.
The notable commissioner also advised that, while Celebrating, people should continually adhere to the precautionary measures of social distancing, wearing of facemasks, constant washing of hands with soap and running water, etc, to avoid being infected with the novel Coronavirus. And commended the Cross River State Government for the proactiveness that has seen Cross River State COVID19 free.
