The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Alphonsus Ogar Eba, esq, JP attended the second-term inauguration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State in Akure on Monday.
Eba joined other APC leaders and stakeholders at the ceremony, where he congratulated Governor Aiyedatiwa on the start of his new four-year term.
In 2023, Eba was part of the National Reconciliation Committee that helped ensure a smooth transition for Governor Aiyedatiwa when he became Acting Governor after the passing of Governor Akeredolu. Later, in April 2024, Eba served as the Secretary of the Delegates Primaries Committee that confirmed Aiyedatiwa as the APC’s candidate for Governor.
The APC polled 366,781 while the closest rival PDP scored 117,845 and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa winner and returned elected.
Eba also played a key role in the Election Management and Strategy Committee for the November 2024 governorship election, where Governor Aiyedatiwa won decisively across all 18 local government areas.
Celebrating the victory, Eba said, “I salute the massive love, support, and solidarity of the great people of Ondo, which is a referendum and corroboration of our choice. Congratulations to H. E. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of APC and all Ondo electorates across party lines. The popular will of the people is stronger than the might of the weak opponents.”
