Cross River’s Who Is Who Attend Governorship Hopeful, Asuquo Ekpenyong’s Baby Christening In Calabar

Notable Cross River State politicians and captain of industry on Sunday graced the occasion of the baby Christening by a governorship hopeful and former Commissioner for Finance, Hon Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr in Calabar, the state capital city.

The event which was held at the presbyterian Church with the reception at the Calabar residence of Hon Asuquo, was attended by Cross River State Governor, Sen Prof Ben Ayade, who was represented by his deputy, H.E. Prof Ivara Esu. The Governor’s dear friend and CEO Opal Group, High Chief Higgins Peters, a first class titled Chief in Yala graced the event.

Notable personalities in attendance are, the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt Hon William Eteng-Jones, deputy speaker, Rt Hon Joseph Bassey, leader of the House, Rt Hon Peter Odey, parents of Hon Asuquo, Chief Asuquo Ekpenyong Snr and his wife, in-laws of Hon Asuquo H.E Mr Donal Duke and his wife H.E Mrs Onari Duke.

The event attracted the presence of governorship aspirants including Mr Edem Ekong, Engr Nsa Asuquo Ekpenyong amongst others. Former minister of Culture and Tourism, Hon Edem Duke and Amb Nkoyo Toyo also joined other dignitaries to witness the event.

Also present to witness the baby Christening include, Senator Gershom Bassey (Senator representing Southern Senatorial District), Member representing Bekwarra, Obudu, Obanliku Federal Constituency Senator Rt Hon Legor Idagbo, Senator Ita Giwa, a Central Senatorial hopeful and Chairman Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), Chief Akin Ricketts, former SSG Mrs Tina Banku and a host of other dignitaries.
