The member representing Bekwarra, Obudu, Obanliku Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo has congratulated Dr Stephen Odey on his emergence as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the scheduled October 31, 2020 Northern Senatorial District By-Election.
The former Chairman of Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) emerged after a primary election which took place in Ogoja Local Government Council headquarters on Saturday, September 5, 2020.
Hon Idagbo, who is Chairman House Committee on Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring, said his emergence was a reflection of the will of the people through the delegates of the PDP in the northern Senatorial district of the state at the primary election.
He further stated that Dr. Stephen Odey has shown capacity through the excellent job he had done as chairman of SUBEB and other responsibilities he had handled in the past.
He added that judging from this he was convinced that Dr. Odey will represent the people of the Northern Senatorial District effectively in the red chamber when elected.
The Member of the House of Representatives assured that the people of Bekwarra in particular and the Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency in general will overwhelmingly vote for him and the party during the by-election come October 31.
He also congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party and the leader of the party in the state, His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade on the successful, peaceful and transparent conduct of primary election.
