…urges Gov to reward supporters
The Secretary of Cross River State Elders Forum (CROSEF), Sir Leonard Anyogo, has described the re-election of Cross River State Governor, Prof Ben Ayade, as well deserved and good omen for Cross River State.
Anyogo made the assertion while appraising the impact the Governor had made in the last four years, and said the best will come and all Cross Riverians would be better off in this last lap of his tenure.
He said: “I congratulate the governor-elect of Cross River State, His Excellency, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade. We have worked hard to see this victory.
“As secretary of Cross River State Elders Forum (CROSEF), this is the time for a new zeal to meet the high expectations of Cross Riverians, and we see it as a well deserved victory by Governor Ayade on his re-election.
“This re-election of the Governor by the good and great people of Cross River State is a good omen because they made their choice through the ballot.”
Meanwhile, the renowned development expert also urged the Governor to appoint credible sons and daughters of the State with proven track record and capacity into his cabinet that would perform in all sectors of the economy under his second term in office in order to write his name in gold.
“His Excellency needs to bring in people with capacity in this last lap of his administration, we must also encourage a proper reward system for those who perform. My advice is geared towards the future of the people and posterity.
“By appointing people who would make his administration achieve his vision and aspiration for the people according to their yearnings would write his name in gold.”
He also added that “I don’t belong to the school of making some people look like gods even against their total disdain for constituted authority.
“His Excellency should also carry along those who believed in his vision and dreams therefore laboured to ensure this victory are achieved, and that should serve as a proper reward system for them. Once again, congratulations Your Excellency as we collectively take CRS to a higher height.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced Governor Ayade’s re-election on Sunday in Calabar, by the State Returning Officer, Akim Ibhadode, as winner of the governorship election with 381,484 votes, and returned elected for second term in office.Pls use his quote as he said it… And resendShow quoted text
