Having taking the crucial step towards clinching the exalted office of the Governor, Senator Andy Uba today hosted all the Anambra State APC Local Government Chairmen and stakeholders.
Addressing the optimistic pool of masses whose support for the Senator can best be described as vehement and unwavering, Dr. Andy Uba said he is going to transform Anambra state through grass root empowerment.
Speaking further, the Senatore made it clear that he is the best man for the job given his wealth of experience as a one-time Governor of the state and also serving senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for two consecutive times, he therefore believes Anambra State will be better off should he handle the reigns.
Collaborating with him the one-time Deputy Governorship aspirant Hon. Ralph okeke said that Sen. Andy Uba understands the dynamics of government plus he has the much 
needed resouces and connections to unseat the incumbent governor of the state, Chief Willie Obiano.
Hon. Ralph Okeke who condemned the lacklustrious style of the present administration saying it has woefully faild in providing necessary infrastructure in many LGAs like Ayamelum, Ogbaru Anambra west and so on, also added that it is time to end the sufferings of the people and it’s only Sen Andy that can do that.
Hear him, “Sentiments apart, the present administration is a total failure. Go to the streets and witness how people are suffering no empowerment,no job, and no proper structure to run an effective system. If you go to Ayamelum or Anambra east for example, there is no infrastructure or if you go to Ogharu L.G.A in this raining season, they are almost literarily being washed away by flood and erosion …they don’t even have good roads!.. you can’t go there!”
Meanwhile Sen. Andy Uba who spoke to pressmen on his aims and convictions said one of the things that propel him is selfless service to the benefit of all adding that he is coming in to reduce poverty and bring a new era of governing where democracy in its true essence will be practiced in Anambra state.
He said, “We are not getting our fair share of democracy, we are being short changed, the Governor is not thinking of infrastructure and so many other things that government and governing entails”.
On the Issue of conviction, Sen. Andy Uba said Anambra state needs a man who is strong enough to advance the state from where it is to where it is supposed to be. He said he has the capacity, and having being in the central government for so long, understands better. He also said he has been with the peole and has contributed immensely to general development of the people and is still going to do more.
“I have a plan of what I am coming in to do, I have structures too and I have been a party to crucial decision-making body of this counntry. I have the best experience learnt from the masters and I’m going to replicate that to make Alhambra State the pride of the country”.
He said.
The APC Anambra State Youth Leader, Austine Mmuomaife popularly known as Uduakommiri while lauding Dr. Andy Uba for his great accomplishments so far in the National Assmbly as a Senator, expressed confidence that Anambra state will experience a tremendous change if he (Sen. Andy Uba) wins the election.
He also said that the youths of the state is putting in place every necessary measure including registeration for and collecting of voters’ cards to ensure a successful and a victorious outing come November 18, 2017.
