A top strategic management team member of the Cross River State Government, High Chief Higgins Peters has said the state governor, Sir Ben Ayade is holding talks with global investors at the ongoing Africa Investment Forum with the view to woo them to the state.
High Chief Higgins, who is also the Vice Chairman, Committee on Review of Debts and Completion of Signature Projects in Cross River State and s member of the governor’s delegation, stated this in a chat with journalists on the sidelines of the event.
The three days event, which is organised by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Sandton- Johannesburg, South Africa, started on Monday on Monday, November 11, and will end on Wednesday, November 13 2019.
Gov Ayade is currently participating in the program alongside top dignitaries across political and financial institutions as well as world Business leaders and investors was accompanied by a high powered delegation from the state which include, Barr Chris Agara, High Chief Higgins Peter and other close allies.
The President of the Africa Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adeshina, organisers of the event, urged participants to take advantage of the opportunities during the period of the stay.
State governors present include, Sir Ben Ayade (Cross River), HE Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State), HE Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State), HE Abdul Razaq (Kwara State). Senator Ben Bruce was also in attendance amongst others.
Speaking further, High chief Higins assured that the HE Governor Ben Ayade Cross is hoping to bring home investors from the programme to help in boosting and consolidating on the gains the governor has made so far.
He noted that, Cross River State has already been spotted as a desired investment destination for participating investors from about the 109 countries in attendance.
