The Atiku National youth organization, ANYO said yesterday that former vice President, Atiku Abubakar remains the only alternative and credible candidate for the 2019 presidential position in the North.
The organisation which is currently mobilising and sensitising over 20m Nigerians especially the youth on the need to hunt for a credible, a bridge builder, that is qualified and has the solution to the national question warned Nigerians against voting for those that have nothing to offer than deceit.
Rising from its from its national executive meeting in Abuja Wednesday, the organization maintained that the choice of the former vice president is born out of the fact that the history of sustainable democracy cannot be mentioned or written Without the contribution of the Adamawa political leader.
According to the statement issued and signed by the vice President Friday Odey and the national secretary, comrade Samuel Tiku , it was high time the country begins to recognize and give leadership responsibility to versatile politician whose interest is to serve and give the nation the needed benefits.
The statement added that considering the humility disposition, industrial and economic prowess by Atiku that has given succour to millions of Nigerians youth, political stability and commitment, the former vice president stands out for the political emancipation of the country.
ANYO said it’s members were calling on Atiku Abubakar to return to the people Democratic party a party that he has made varied contributions and is being appreciated rather than staying were his political contributions would be rubbished and liken to the group of those with deceit.
“Given to the struggles you have put in politically, economically, socially to ensure the sustenance of Nigeria , your reputation will loose it credibility and sustainability should you not return to PDP and redeem the country from its unity and cohesion that is being treatned presently” the organization declared.
“We, the youth of this country under the auspices of Atiku National Youth organization in cojuction with other well wishers and supporters wish to use this forum to appeal to you to step up your presidential ambition for 2019 which is the only hope for the Nigerian youth who are leaders of tomorrow.
“Our hope which is dashed already with the political, economic and social trends in Nigeria can only be rekindled with your emergence as the presidential candidate from the North.
A house boy is always a boy to his master, so do not be detarred with the emergence of your boys around the political arena “.
Meanwhile, ANYO has condemned the bomb blast that killed dozens in Mubi Adamawa state on Tuesday.
Secretary of the organization, Samuel Tiku who in a statement commiserated with the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, government and people of Adamawa state on the unfortunate incident called on the buhari government to do more to guarantee the lives of Nigerians especially in the North East.
