An agribusiness investor and Chairman, Santuscom Agro-Hub, Chief Paul Santus, at the weekend urged young Nigerians to key into the current President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government’s agricultural revolution ongoing in the country.
Santus stated this during the National Peace Award 2019 organised by the Messengers of Peace (MOP) Foundation, which he was also honoured with an award of Humanitarian Service.
Santuscom Agro-Hub is the producer of the popular Ogoja Rice being distributed nationwide including other agricultural produce.
Meanwhile, a renowned media organization, EHUB Media Nigeria also congratulated the award recipient who is the Omohe 1 of Yala Nation for his sense of humour and dedication to nation building and described the award as well deserved.
Also the National Coordinator, Grassroots and Empowerment and Justice (GEJ) Initiative, Ebriku John Friday, applauded the award and described it as worthy recognition accorded to Santus for his selfless actions in building national peace and growing the economy through his investments in the agricultural sector.
Santus said: “I am most grateful and honoured by the organizer of this National Peace Award 2019, Messengers of Peace (MOP) Foundation, who has also humbled me by this recognition I never thought of. I see this award as a call to do more and I pledge by the grace of God to improve on what I am doing for national peace, because it is in the peace of Nigeria we all can have peace.
“Indeed, our country needs all hands to be on deck to ensure we all are involved in developing the economy and also to touch lives positively with what God have blessed us with.
“I will at this point urge young Nigerians to take advantage of the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration’s agriculture revolution as there are a lot of value chains in this revolution that offers you the opportunities to be self-reliant, financial buoyant and employer of labour. The policies by the Federal Government for the agricultural sector are youth friendly and favourable.”
Meanwhile, he (Santus) dedicated the award to youths involved in farming business across the country as a way to encourage them to do their best and also to attract others to take agribusiness as major occupation.
