The awards will be unveiled in a post summit gala night organised by a youth group, the Peace Renaissance Enhancement Initiative (PREI). The summit, which is tagged, Niger Delta Buhari Youth Summit is slated for August 25, 2017, holds in PortHarcourt, the Rivers State capital.
According to the coordinator-general of PREI, Mr Okosikeme King Daniel, the theme of the event is, “The Role of Good Governance Engendered in Addressing Key Pertinent Issues in Niger Delta”.
He added that, the awards which will climax the summit would be given to prominent Niger Delta sons and daughters in recognition of their excellent leadership and youth friendly governance approach.
He said, “The guest speakers for the summit will include all ministers and key appointees of government from the Niger Delta Region and the keynote speaker is the former Edo State governor, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, whole the chief host is the minister of transportation, Hon Rotimi Amaechi.”
