Charles Offoboche foundation kick starts the maiden COF PEACE TOURNAMENT today, December 15 at Christ the King Primary School Football Field, Okpoma, Yala Local Government Area headquarters, Cross River State.
The COF PEACE TOURNAMENT is a football tournament organized to further deepen the relationship between the 14 wards of Yala. It is geared towards fostering continuous/lasting peace amongst Yala people. The wards include, Yache, Gabu, Echumofana, Okuku, Ugaga, Okpoma, O’oh, Yeah, WANOKOM, Igede, Wanikade, Wanihem, and Ejiraga, Nfuma/Ntrigom.
It would be recalled, the founder of Charles Offoboche Foundation Prince Charles Ofoboche aka Chaz King Boche unveiled the trophy during the peace rally between Oba and Itega Okpama community in August.
The opening match today is between Yehe and Okpoma wards.
