The ignoble feelings of intense jealousy of guileful politicians has instantaneously metermorphosed into a sleazy Northern Cross River Reconciliation Movement. This is unsurprising, although a poorly orchestrated campaign of calumny. The sordid publication by the faceless group aiming at an unwarranted attack on our indefatigable APC State Chairman Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq, JP, will not only fail but also will not fill the bill.
The mortifying and villainous plots of many acclaimed stakeholders of our party in Cross River North during the just concluded 2024 rerun elections have proven and vindicated many political analysts who had, during and after the 2023 general elections, categorically accused many party members of betrayal and anti party activities. Lo and behold, the faceless perpetrators appeared to be discomforted by the urgent call for investigations and some disciplinary actions as being ordered by the State Party Chieftain. Hence, this sudden transgression.
Suffice it to say that the alleged monies belong to Cross River State All Progressives Congress where the State EXCO members have the right to demand for explanations and accountability. But this call for investigations, accountability and RESIGNATION does not emanate from any organ of the party even at Chapter, Ward or Unit level but mischievous and faceless Northern Cross River Reconciliation Movement.
If I may ask, who constituted this Movement? when and where did this ONLINE Movement converge? Is this FACELESS group an Organ of our party or even of a known opposition party? Who are their leaders? Albeit many more questions and on good authority as a committed member of the party, I challenge “bernard ingio”, the self-acclaimed chairman of the inexistent group to post a birth certificate or an affidavit bearing same name even in the realm of fantasy.
It is not only preposterous but also an asinine and facetious remark to request for “a roundtable” with Alphonsus Eba just this early with a semi article that has failed the test of substantiality. One would have thought that their response to being tagged “faceless” would carry a group picture or the portrait of the said “benard ingio” and perhaps contact numbers to prove their existence and identity. It is absolutely laughable to call on a leader of a party whose none of her organs has filed a petition bordering on financial misappropriation against him to render an account of imaginary monies to an unknown group. For the records, there is NO organ known as “Reconciliation Movement” in the All Progressives Congress in Nigeria.
It is now obvious that this is a sponsored attempt to distract committed party faithfuls from following the proceedings of the already sanctioned investigation of anti party activities by suspected stakeholders in Cross River North and the pledge to visit erring members with weighty disciplinary actions. The call for Eba’s resignation in order to truncate an exercise that would weed out dishonest elements from the party is no more than a drunken farce and also ludicrously absurd. Indeed, this plan will FAIL!
Alphonsus Ogar Eba, Esq, JP, remains one and only States Chairman of Cross River State APC with total support and allegiance from all other 37 EXCO members as well as the 18 Chapters and 203 Wards under his leadership. He is, as always, very committed to the success of the party as witnessed in the 2023 General elections that elected His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu to lead the state and fly the APC flag as the Governor.
I therefore call on all law abiding and committed APC members to ignore the faceless detractors and agents of division while continuing to support the government of Prince Bassey Edet Otu and his relentless efforts to reposition our dear state in its pride of place and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people in line with the People First agenda and the Season of Sweetness.
