The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev Yakubu Pam has said that the Church is the back bone of Nigeria.
He disclosed this In a release by Mr Celestine Toruka, NCPC Head Media, recently in Owerri, Imo state during the inauguration of the states Executives of Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Imo state chapter. He affirmed that the solution for Nigeria is in the hands of God, stressing that the spiritual controls the physical.
According to him, “If we stand with God in our closest, we will decide who governs us”. He explained that it is the prayers of the church that had kept this country together. He called on the newly inaugurated CAN executives to work in unity in order to move the church forward.
The NCPC helmsman who is also the Chairman of the Nineteen northern States CAN averred that ” God cannot use one without giving him an experience”, He further added, ” you may hate somebody but if God loves the person, there nothing any one can do”, he said.
He emphasised that leadership comes from God and whatever he had done must stand. He urged the people of Imo state to support and rally round the Imo state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma so that he could deliver the dividends of democracy.
Rev. Pam appealed to the people of Imo state to join hands with the state Governor to move the state forward. His words, “the future of this state will rise and shine, I see God lifting Imo state the way it has never been done”.
He commended the friendly and humble leadership style of his eminence, Rev. Dr Samson Ayokunle for his role in uniting the body of Christ.
The high light of the event was the formal inauguration of Rev. Divine Eches as the brand new Chairman of the Imo state CAN alongside his Executive members.
