President Tinubu wants all Nigerians to benefit from NDE – Silas Agara

Honourable Silas Ali Agara, Director General of the National Directorate of Employment, (NDE) has disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wants all Nigerians to benefit from the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI).

He made the disclosure at a 2 day review meeting at the NDE Model Skills Acquisition Training Center, Kuduru, Bwari, Abuja on Monday.

According to him, “The President Tinubu’s RHEI was launched in December 6, last year with over 93,731 enrollees and 5,532 have already graduated last month as the first batch.

“We have given them start-up packs to commence operations as self employed youths in ICT, fashion and design, solar installation, welding and fabrication amongst others.

“I want the beneficiaries to complete the payment of the cost of the working tools given to them as loans as at when due in six months.” He said.

Hon Silas Agara thanks the states government for their support of the program in empowering the future generations.

The DG however calls on the management staff that are participants to brainstorm on how to adopt Internet Communication Technology, (ICT) in achieving international best practice of selecting, training, monitoring of beneficiaries seamlessly.

Hon Silas Agara said that he wouldn’t relent in transforming NDE to an ICT compliant directorate in a short period of time through training, retraining and encouraging staff to be ICT professionals for the growth and development of the country.

In their remarks, Mr. Chimereze Noble Onyekachi, coordinator of FCT and Mrs Elizabeth Omoshola said that most of the youths cooperate with their trainers during the course of training and advice those in the next batch to emulate them.
