The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has congratulated the Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu on his first anniversary celebration in office for his life-transforming projects and unwavering commitment to the state’s development.
Making the commendation on Sunday in Calabar, National Publicity Secretary of the PFN, Archbishop Dr. Emmah Gospel Isong, hailed Governor Otu’s ‘People’s First’ policy, noting that his leadership style and achievements have confirmed him as a prophetic governor worthy of celebration.
The PFN, an umbrella body of several pentecostal churches, promoting unity and cooperation among christian faithfuls, representing over 50 million christian faithfuls across Nigeria, congratulated Governor Otu and his entire executive council and prayed for God’s continued guidance and mercy and for his “unwavering efforts and commitments in the last one year in bringing developments to the state.
According to the Cleric: “For us, today affords us the privilege to say thank you Your Excellency and to commend you for the giant strides that you and your team have set in motion.
“Your people-oriented style of leadership, strategic politics that incorporates life transforming projects and achievements have confirmed that you are truly the prophetic Governor to be highly celebrated.
Continuing, he said, “On behalf of the National President of the PFN, His Eminence Bishop Dr. Francis Wale Oke and the entire Advisory and Executive Councils of our great Fellowship, we congratulate you and pray that God’s mighty hand of mercy never departs from you even as you submit to the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Congratulations Your Excellency, our Sweet Prince and God’s Servant. I invoke Eccl. 3:14 which says: ‘I know that everything God does will last forever. Nothing can be added to it. And nothing can be taken from it. God does that so people will have respect for him.”
