The Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday congratulated Cross River State governor, Prof Ben Ayade over his victory at the Supreme Court last Friday.
The statement reads, “The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmed Makarfi, CON, on behalf of the National Caretaker Committee, the Board of Trustees (BoT), the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Caucus, Management and Staff, and the entire PDP family congratulates H. E. Prof. Senator Benedict Ayade on his victory at the Supreme Court on Friday, the 9th of December, 2016.
“His Excellency, this ‘victory’ marks the end of litigation on your Election matter; and we therefore enjoin you to continue focusing on the various infrastructural developmental projects you began since assumption of office in May 2015.
“In the same vien, we are calling on Barr. Joe Agi, SAN, to put the issues behind him and cooperate with the Governor and other stakeholders in the State to implement the Manifesto of our great Party.
