Osun Religious Confusion Could Be Solved By God – Kumuyi

The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry worldwide, Pastor William Kumuyi, yesterday, said the hijab wearing controversy in Osun State could be solved by God.
Kumuyi who was represented by the State Overseer, of the ministry in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Pastor Joshua Esho, stated this during a press conference held at the headquarters of the church in Abuja, in respect of the crusade tagged ‘Night of Extraordinary Wonders’, to hold at the National Stadium in Abuja on June 26, 2016, which Kumuyi will be the Guest Minister.
He said: “We are trusting that the crusade which is coming on 26th of June will usher in a new beginning for the life of the nation, because, FCT as we all know is the heart of the nation and when it sneezes, the country catches cold.
“The crusade is also an avenue to meet the needs of the FCT residents, it is always a time of open doors and unprecedented miracles and it is the turn to experience the wonder of God and our Lord Jesus Christ under the ministration of the Man of God of our time.
“Christian leaders have been intensifying prayers to resolve the confusion that have engulfed the Osun State over the issue of wearing hijab by female Muslim students in public primary and secondary schools.
“Which the Christian leaders under Osun State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, also gave go-ahead of their youth in those schools to wear church garments, and some of the students wore choir robes and others to class.
“We believe in God as we are praying about the issue and we believe God will solve the problem.”
He however assured that security measures have been put in place in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, Directorate of State Service, DSS, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, while cautioning that all participants will be duly screened before gaining entrance into the venue.
The clergy also expressed optimism and faith that the present economic and social challenges faced by Nigerians under the Buhari-led government will be a thing of the past, because God has been in control.
On the current administration performance, he urged Nigerians to rather join in prayers for God to help the government to fulfill it promises.
He further urged Nigerians to be patient with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying though his party promised a lot during the campaign, but at that the administration has just lasted for a year and will be too early to judge their performance.
“When the party was campaigning, they promised a change, but we Nigerians should be patient and continue to pray for God to guard them to solve the problem of Nigeria. It is too early to judge them, if we are patient and backing them up with prayers, I believe they will fulfil their promises,” he stated.
