Following the news of the demise of President Buhari Chief of Staff Mallam Abba Kyari, many Nigerians have continued to wonder what next could be President move, as we know all know that indeed Mallam Abba Kyari was manny things to the President aside just been chief of staff he is the engine room of the Buhari led administration.
It is even touted that Mallam Abba Kyari was actually the one in charge of the Buhari government, he successfully covered the President’s illness and shielded him from the prying eyes of the public.
During the 2019 Presidential Election Mallam Abba Kyari made the President go through the rigors of the election, He ruled with an iron fist and brooked no opposition as many would easily testify.
Recall in 2019 immediately after the re-election of President Buhari he directed all his cabinet to channel all requests through Kyari’s office, further enhancing his influence within government circles.
Sources close to the President in the Villa says he was completely devasted with the news of the demise of his chief of staff and a very close confidant, especially now the nation is going through a hard time.
Mallam Abba Kyari was Born into a Kanuri family from Borno, the young Kyari had a quiet upbringing as not much is known about his early life. In 1980, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Warwick and also received a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Cambridge. In 1983, he was called to the Nigerian Bar after attending the Nigerian Law School.
Mallam Abba Kyari was married to the sister-in-law of Ibrahim Tahir and the union was blessed with four children.
