… Says Ondo Governor is a unifier, will carry all along

As Ondo State governorship election draws closer, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), High Chief Francis Soriwei, has called on the party leadership and members to maximally support and throw their weight behind the candidate of the party and Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Soriwei, who is the chairman, Akpoyerin Group of Companies Limited and the Senior Special Assistant, Oil & Gas to former GMD NNPC, Edmund Daukoru, Former Minister of State for Petroleum, now chairman Board of Directors, Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG), His Royal Majesty, King Edmund Daukoru, the Amanyanabo of Nembe Kingdom, said the APC candidate should be given the maximum support to ensure victory for the party, because his victory is victory for all members of the party.
Speaking with Journalists in a chat in Abuja, the APC Chieftain and business mogul described Governor Aiyedatiwa as a child of necessity and a unifier, who will carry all stakeholders along, assuring he will be tge next Governor of Ondo State.
He said: “Before now I had assured people that His Excellency, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, would emerge as the gubernatorial candidate of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“He has eventually emerged and my take in all that is currently playing out ahead of elections is for the people of Ondo State to team up with him or work for him.
“One, I would like to advise the leadership of the APC with respect to my leader, my mentor DI Kekemeke, the National Vice Chairman (South West) of APC to team up together and work with him. Also my leader, Oke SAN with due respect to team up together and work with him.
“And Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, yes he has gone to court, should also team up together and work with him, for the success of the party and His Excellency Aiyedatiwa to emerge victorious as the Governor.
“I can assure anybody that he is the next governor of Ondo State. I am not a pastor and not an Imam but I can tell you, talking from a privileged capacity, Aiyedatiwa is our next governor.”
On the issue of the governor not having structure the APC chieftain pointed out that, “Politics has two faces; One with a face of political structure, another one with a face without political structure.
“But one thing remains, that by his name, Lucky Orimisa Aiyedatiwa, nobody can take this one from him. Name speaks for people, his name is speaking for him, and I advise people to be mindful not to go and waste their money.”
He further stated that, “This man is a man of necessity. He is our next governor, and I admonish all the people I have mentioned their names to work with him. He is our next governor whether the devil likes it or not. He is our next governor.
“And I am sure the people of Ondo state will work for him and vote massively for him. You can bet me any day any time. Whether with political structure or not. If you have political structure, use your political structure to work for him. When it comes to your time, he will also use his political structure to work for you. That is how politics in Ondo State works. We are very enlightened people.”
However, he spoke extensively about the Ondo State APC leadership’s commitment and resolve to go all out to ensure victory of its governorship candidate.
“Yes in the highest decision making body of the party, which I am privileged to be part of, it would interest you for the first time, APC highest decision making body, he has assured to take everybody along, including the names I have mentioned, so that there would be no story or bad blood. He is prepared, humble, willing to take everybody along in the interest of the state and the party.
“In every election, people would take second, people would take first turn. It is not do or die. His modesty, his loving kindness by the people, he has been assured of total support and he has in turn assured the highest body of APC that he would take everybody along.
“This fight, this struggle is not for him (Aiyedatiwa) alone. He has averred that, look I would take everybody along and we have not seen any difference of drift from that position. He is a very moderate person. He is a listener. He listens to people. So we are also willing and ready to give him that support to be the next governor of Ondo State”, he added.
