The Speaker, House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila has approved the appointment of Mr Afiene Godwin Assanshure from Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State as his new Senior Legislative Aide.
This was contained in a letter dated November 16, 2021 with the subject, “Replacement of Appointment” addressed to Mr Assanshure. Assanshure was a nominee of the member of House of Representatives, representing Bekwarra Obudu Obanliku Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Legor Idagbo to the Speaker.
The appointment letter reads in part, “I am directed to inform you that you have been offered a non-pensionable and short-term appointment as Senior Legislative Aide to Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker, House of Representatives, National Assembly, on Salary Grade level 13 Step 8 which is (1,828,642.00 per annum) with effect from the date you assume duty. You are also entitled to such allowance as applicable in the Public Service.”
