NCPC’ll Use Pilgrimage As Tool For National Devt – Rev Tor Uja

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev Tor Uja, has said that the commission would continue to use pilgrimage as a tool for moral transformation and development of Nigeria.

Uja, who made this known yesterday during the dedication of the NCPC Heritage Camp land in Abuja, said the camp ground-breaking will take place in May 2019.

He said the camp, which will contain hostels, offices, clinic and others, will be a preparative ground for Christian pilgrimage and also an organisation where Nigerians will expose potentials, capacity, indexes and the future of the country.

The NCPC boss added that the heritage camp will be a place where leaders and all pilgrims will gather together to find better understanding of Christianity and the development processes the nation must go through to become what God has destined it to be.

He noted that the camp belongs to all Christians irrespective of denomination, location and affiliation. Adding that there would be no discrimination.

“We have set up plans to tackle and cancel denominational barriers, eliminate doctrinal separation and put aside tribal or regional issues.

He said: “We believe this dream because the know that God has a big project to accomplish with Nigeria and the beginning point of any process that would rule the world is the spiritual and the spiritual one will possess, we possess it in Christ Jesus so when people are prepared spiritually, they go forward.

While calling on Christian leaders to invest in the project, he expressed optimism that the project will be achieved in two years.

“We want that in our pilgrimage program, Nigeria would be a focus. That’s why our creed is proclaiming Christ, serving Nigeria. We believe that the few people that go on pilgrimage are enough army to fight the battles of the development of this country and to project the advancement of the gospel in this generation.

He however thanked the federal government for contributing to the growth of the commission.

His words: “We are not going to depend only on the government. We are generating funds from Christian leaders, churches, Christian business men and those who believe in the vision of eternity and what pilgrimage can accomplish for this nation, we believe we shall receive financial, material donations from them and even of ideas and what we have put on paper we believe is achievable in two years time.
