A staff of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), sister Mercy Ome-Ebere, has yesterday organised a Musical Concert where she released her debut music album tittled ‘Glorify the Lord’, at the Church of Arch-Angels Dioceses, Durumi-Gaduwa Abuja.
Speaking to the press, she expressed gratitude to God for the success of her album lunch and further thanked her colleague for their unwavering support and love towards her.
In her words, “I am fulfilled now. This is the happiest moment I have always wished and prayed for. To describe a little how I feel, I will say that this feeling is like that of a bride that just weeded or like a woman just delivered of her baby and am grateful to God for bringing his word to pass”. The support and love from my colleagues is massive, I don’t take it for lite and I pray God honours and bless them, she said”.
She further noted that her inspiration for this album release was God. “Sometime in 2010, I had an album I never launched and can not even tell why. Sometime in 2018, in the middle of a night, the Lord asked me of my song book. After this encounter, I got one, and then songs keeps coming till today and I keep appreciating God for that”, she added.
Speaking also, Rev Father Dr. Ambrose Anene, the Parish Priest of the Church of Arch-Angels Dioceses, Durumi-Gaduwa Abuja, expressed his joy to join others to glorify the Lord with sister Mercy who has long being a member of the Dioceses and serves God with her gift as a chorister in the Dioceses.
“Am very happy to be here and to join others to glorify the Lord with sister Mercy. I am happy she has discovered her gift of singing and is using it to glory God and to bless lives”, he stated.
He further encouraged her to remain steadfast in God and advised every Nigerian Youth, child and individual to look inwards to discover their unique gifts, maximize platforms given them to discover and develop their gifts as no one is empty from creation.
His words, “Sister Mercy started from the church as a chorister and today see what God is doing through her. This is to say that God will always use you to his glory and to bless humanity if you yeild yourself to him continually. So I say, keep moving on Mercy for the Lord is your strength. He will continue to help you as you wax strong in him”.
“My advice also goes to young people out there to know that they were created with unique giftings and talents and so they should maximize platforms like as we do with ‘talent hunts’ we organise in this dioceses and the likes, to discover their gifts, develop them and use them to the glory of God and blessing of humanity”, he added.
Also, the NCPC Chaplain, Pastor Raphael Oyinloye, expressed his joy to be present at the album launch and importantly also, at the mass turn up of staff of the Commission to support her.
“We are all happy to be here as you can see for yourself, because she is one of us and also a chorister at the NCPC Chapel, and that’s why we came out in mass to support this gift God has given us. We love her and that’s why in our colourful uniform and in time at this venue, we are here to give her our maximum support and encourage her to keep up the good work.
“When God gifts you with a talent, and you remain committed to his word, he will showcase you to the world like what is happening here today with sister Mercy as we know the gift of a man maketh a way for him, he added”.
The Mercy Ome-Ebere Musical and Album Release was well attended by staff of NCPC, members of Arch-Angels Diocess, friends and well wisher.
