NCPC BOSS Receives Award Of Excellence

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC,Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam has received an award of excellence from the Making Life Better Care Foundation for better tomorrow at the NCPC Corporate headquarters on 22nd June, 2022.

Speaking during the event, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Rev Dr. Yakubu Pam informed that the Commission is saddled with the responsibility of airlifting Christian Pilgrims from Nigeria to Israel, Jordan Rome, Greece and all the holy sites around the world.

He further informed that the Commission flagged off its 2021 main pilgrimage on 16th June, 2021 with pilgrims from FCT and Bayelsa State. According to him, “the flag off ceremony was a huge success and we are expecting the first batch of pilgrims tomorrow 23rd June, 2022”.

The NCPC boss further informed that for the first time in the history of the Commission pilgrims were airlifted to the Kingdom of Jordan for the 2020 pilgrimage exercise since the state of Israel had shut their doors to pilgrims due to the Covid 19 pandemic. In his words, “we took our pilgrims to the kingdom of Jordan and we recorded zero abscondment”.

He thanked the executive members of the Making Life Better Care Foundation for Better Tomorrow for honouring him with an award of excellence. According to him, “We want more organizations like yours who is interested in the development of this”.

The NCPC helmsman urged Nigerians to live together in peace and harmony not minding the differences in their religion. In his words, ‘Let us all be united in purpose”, “Unity and oneness is all we need to move this country forward”, he added.

Speaking earlier, the President of the Making Life Better Care Foundation for Better Tomorrow, Hajiya Aishata Abubakar commended the NCPC boss for the peace keeping role he has played in the country especially in the crisis regions. In her words, “your visit to this crisis region brought calm and restored peace”.

She informed that her foundation has considered the NCPC boss worthy of an award of excellence because “you have indeed touched lives through peace keeping and you have used your office to better the lives of so many Nigerians”.

Hajiya Aishata urged the Executive Secretary to use his good offices to touch more lives and move the country forward.
