Human right & Socio-political activist, Comrade Emaluji Michael Sunday has described as spurious and unrealistic the allegations being peddled against the Hon. Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu on the alleged diversion of N586m into a private account.
According to Emaluji, the vile and malicious publication making the rounds on various media outlets by faceless hirelings is spurious, unrealistic and baseless in an attempt to tarnish the reputable image built by the Hon. Minister in her years as public servant.
“ The office of the Accountant General has stated unequivocally that they did not carry out the directive from the minister and neither the anti-graft agencies nor the CBN has declare that there is any funds missing under the Ministry, hence I see no reason why they are spreading falsehoods and misinformation just in a bid to have their way”.
“Those who are afraid of the Minister’s growth and rising popularity should gear up for more battles because Betta is a well detailed, articulate and accountable daughter of my state and over time, as SSA, Commissioner and National Women Leader, she has been known for her financial prudence and intellectual sagacity” Emaluji added.
He stated further that, base on the track record and experience in the humanitarian service, Edu have not disappoint Nigerians and she remains the positive face behind the President Tinubu’s led Federal Government. She already started the humanitarian role in her previous offices through empowerment of thousands of women financially for petty trades while carrying out health outreaches for over 50 thousand IDPs nationwide in just 6 months as Minister.
Her humble disposition is a game changer and indeed, she has come to stay!
