The Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betta Edu, on Tuesday in Calabar, at a joint ministerial Press Briefing reiterated that the state has no case of the deadly Lassa Fever, insisting the state is free of the disease.

The other commissioners who participated in today’s monthly Ministerial press briefing organised by the Ministry of Information and Orientation include, Commissioner for Works, Engr. Dane Osim-Asu and Commissioner for Culture & Tourism Development, Mr Eric Anderson
Hon Edu during the enlightenment campaign on the disease, stated that the State have not had any case of Lassa Fever. She went ahead to educate the people on how to avoid the disease, it’s symptoms and general health tips on healthy living.
