It was an atmosphere of exceeding fanfare as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Cross River State, Barr. Joe Abang donated 2 Ward Secretariats to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oboso and Ojerim Communities both of Mbube East Ward. The people of these peace loving communities came out in their numbers to appreciate the Attorney General for the uncommon kind gesture.
Barr. Abang applauded the people for their conduct during the last general election and encouraged them to continue in their unflinching support for Governor Ben Ayade. Represented by the State Assistant Legal Adviser of the PDP, Barr. Tony Adinye at the official handing over of the Party Secretariat to Ward Executives, the Attorney General assured them of his undying commitment to empower people at the grassroot level.
He said “We are here today because you have always demonstrated exceptional love for the party, we are here because of the overwhelming support you gave us during the last general election, we are here to tell you thank you and to inform you that appreciate every level of support you gave to the party. We will continue do more for our people”
The occasion had in attendance Ogoja Chapter Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Mr. Paul Adinye. Speaking at the event, Mr. Adinye appreciated the Attorney General and encouraged the people not to fail in their prayers and and support for the leadership of the State under Governor Ben Ayade. “We want to thank our Attorney General for the offices and motorcycle, it is a development that will affect the people positively” he stated.
Also at the event was the Youth Leader of Ogoja Local Government PDP Mr. Mark Egbelo. Mr. Mark appreciated the Attorney General and encouraged beneficiaries of the motorcycles to use the motorcycles in ways that will be economically beneficial to them. In the Youth Leader’s words “let me thank the AG for once again demonstrating his commitment towards community development, he has always proven that he is man of the people. Let me also use this opportunity to encourage the beneficiaries to see this blessing as a rare opportunity for their economic advancement”
Also at the event was a former leader of Ogoja Local Government Council, Hon Tom Ori. He advised the people to be steadfast and continue to pray and support her leaders.
Receiving the motorcycles, the beneficiaries appreciated the Attorney General and assured him of their support for the state Governor. The beneficiaries also pledged to use the motorcycles for the overall benefit of their families and their communities. One of the beneficiaries Mr. Philip Igbudu said ” I am happy today because the AG has given us everlasting smiles. He has always showed us love and care and this reason we will always support our party (PDP) and the leadership of the State. We are all happy and will continually pray for AG for greater heights in his political pursuit”.
