Mrs. Janet Gbadebo , wife of the deputy editor, LEADERSHIP Friday, Mr Bode Gbadebo on Friday passed on in a Lagos hospital. She was 40 years old.
Her husband, Mr Gbadebo who broke the news to this reporter, said she died in the early hours of Friday morning. She was treating High Blood Pressure which resulted into complications.
According to him, she was initially admitted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja, Lagos until Thursday morning when JOHESU chapter of the hospital embarked on strike.
He said, “She was consequently moved to a private hospital in Oshodi area of Lagos same Thursday morning until this Friday morning when she passed away.”
She is survived by a husband, Bode Gbadebo, who is an Editor at the LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group in Abuja; mother and her siblings, among other relatives.
Speaking about his late wife, Gbadebo said the deceased was a very quiet person while alive and pillar of the family, who will be greatly missed by all and sundry.
“She was everything to me. My pillar of support. She was my adviser and prayer warrior and the only person who can tolerate my weaknesses. May her soul rest in peace, amen,” he said.
