InstantPickup App which has been described as a one stop shop to take care of all laundry and dry cleaning needs of customers was first launched in Lagos on July 20, 2017.
Speaking during the launch at Dunes Centre, in Abuja, the Cross River State-born CEO of the InstantPickupapp, Mr Ubi Franklin, said he got the inspiration to set up the app when he was thinking of the need to diversify his business to meet the growing needs of Nigerians in line with current trends.
Mr Ubi, who is also the CEO of Made Men Music, revealed that the app has registered over 50 verified vendors, from which customers can chose and ‘Be Laundryfied’. He also said the services of InstantPickup is affordable, cost effective and stress-free.
According to him, when you download the app, you fill a form with your valid informations and then you chose from the verified vendors for your dry cleaning and laundry services and within minutes your preferred vendor will be at your doorstep.
Speaking further, the young entrepreneur said his companies has over 100 staff strength, with the newly launched InstantPickup, creating job for 50 so far with the potential of increasing as they expand to other cities across the country.
Ubi, who said he will to run for a political office with the passage of the NotTooYoungToRun Bill in 2019, tasked Nigerian youths to think outside the box and come up with an idea that will be beneficial to Nigerians and the world at large in an ecosystem, adding that venturing into fraud and other crimes are not the way out.
The celebrity studded event was attended by musicians, comedians and several others in the entertainment industry, such as, Ice Prince Zamani, Tony Tetuila, Daddy Shoki. InstantPickup ambassadors, Annie Idibia, Celebobo, TBoss, Senator, Gbenro, Mr Jollof, were also present.
