Late Rose Oko: Family Holds Requiem Mass, Sing Songs Night To Honour Her In Abuja

The family of the late Sen Rose Okoji Oko yesterday, organised a Sing Song Service in honour of the late Senator. A Requiem Mass was also held at the Roman Catholic Church “Church Of Assumption Parish” in her honour in Abuja.

The Service of Songs which was held at her Asokoro residence witnessed the reading of various scriptures, singing of songs and reading of tributes by family, friends and associates.

Family members, Friends and Dignitaries from all works of life were in attendance, some of the attendees include; AVM Clement Ogbeche, chairman of central planning committee of the burial, CP Lawrence Alobi rtd, formal police commissioner for FCT, Hon Patrick Odey Ekawu, formal commissioner in Cross River State, Barr Godwin Offiono (Goffio), Sen Raji Razaski former senator from Ekiti State amongst others.

Serving and former members of the National Assembly were also present at the Requiem mass/Sing Song night with Sen Uche Ekwenife, Senator representing Anambra Central and chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology, leading the delegation of female parliamentarians. Also present was Sen Raji Razaski former senator from Ekiti, to pay her tribute.

It would be recalled the late Senator Rose Oko died on March 23, 2020 and will be laid to rest in her hometown after funeral rites schedule for November 5-6, 2020.

The late senator was survived by her children, Daniel Oko Jnr, Orji Oko, Mrs Christy Ogbenyi, Henry Ariku, Mrs Ekor Oko and Ogbudu Oko, grand children, and numerous relatives.
