The Minister of state Power, Goddy Jedy Agba has joined other notable Nigerians and the Federal Government to commiserate with the family of the late Senator Ibrahim Mantu and the Nigerian Parliament over the sudden loss of a mentor and political giant in the Nation’s Democracy.
The minister described the late senator as a symbol of democracy and a promoter of peace and unity who has played a prominent role since the return of democracy.
He said the death of the late senator was a big blow to the people of Plateau State and the Nigerian Democratic process.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, by the special assistant on media and communications strategy Mr Ofem Uket, Agba used the condolence message to call on political leaders and elder statesmen in the country to continue to preach peace and unity of the country.
He prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
It would be recalled that the late Ibrahim Mantu whose death was announced today was a former deputy Senate President.
