Earlier, the chairman of the BNF, who is also the former governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Isah, said the foundation has established Islamic schools in most of the IDPs camps with over 100 teachers, where children and women who are most affected by the insurgency are taught Islamic education.

According to him, “We spend almost N2 million every month to pay teachers, apart from other costs. That is why we call for assistance from well-meaning organization like Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation to support the Islamic schools in IDPs.”

On his part, the project coordinator of BNF, Gambo Wada, added that mandate of the foundation is to give children and women quality Islamic education and save them from ignorance of Islamic teachings.

He said that though its target is to reach all the IDPs camps, they are concentrating in Borno, which is the most affected, adding that it has also established the Islamic schools in some camps in Adamawa State and the FCT.
