As former Cross River State governor, Senator Liyel Imoke clocks 57 on Tuesday, July 10 2018, Senator Rose Oko, representing Cross River Northern Senatorial district and Hon Jarigbe Agom representing Ogoja/Yala federal constituency in the 8th National Assembly, have described him as a true leader and model of humility.
Senator Oko, who is the chairman Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non Governmental Organizations in her birthday message to the ex-governor said, he is an enigma, a strategist and leader per excellence.
She said, “On behalf of the good people of Cross River North and my family, I join Cross Riverians and indeed Nigerians, admirers, teaming supporters and the family of our dear former Governor, His Excellency, Senator Liyel Imoke to celebrate him on another milestone of his birthday.
“You have been a role model, an example of selfless service to humanity, an enigma, a strategist and a leader per excellence worthy of emulation.
“May this special day of your birth bring fun memories of God’s mercy, goodness and providence. May your light continue to shine Your Excellency. Once again congratulations!!!”
On his part, Hon Jarigbe said, “We lack words to thank God for you and what you mean to us. You taught us humility even when you have been everything and achieved so much in life. Happy birthday Sen Liyel Imoke.”
