I’ll Run People-oriented Government, Sen Andy Uba Assures

The senator representing Anambra State southern senatorial district in the upper legislative chamber, Senator Andy Uba has assured that he will run a people-oriented government when be become the governor of the state.

Uba, who is a top All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra State governorship aspirant, gave the assurance to the people during his primary campaign tour.

As his campaign gathers momentum, the APC governorship aspirant traversed through several communities in different Local Government Areas vis-a-viz : Ukpor- Nnewi North L.G.A, Ozubulu- EkwusigoL.G.A, Nnewi and Ihiala L.G.A.

He said, “I will run an all inclusive government laced with equity and justice enshrined in the fundamental principles of true democracy”.

One thing seemed to remain constant during the campaign tour- the people in their different expressions though at different places and in different L.G.A ; all pointed to faith, enthusiasm and confidence that Sen.  Andy is highly equiped with enormous experience and other resources to salvage the state from penury.

Speaking to journalists, one of the community stakeholders Chief Paul Ejidike (Ezego na Ozubulu) described the Senator as an apt round peg in the round hole.

“Senator Andy Uba is a man that has over the years proven his worth in the National Assembly as a legislative heavy-weight and at grassroot level as a visionary, innovative and progressive leader; a man with foresight who knows not just what to do, but when and how to do what”.

The campaign outing took a shocking dramatic but delightful twist when a blind man in an uncontrollable show of appreciation and vehement support to the Senator, began singing praise chants and comic remarks to the delight of all. His name is…Eric Nkemdirim A.K.A Shagasha-Vice Chairman, Nnewi South L.G.A.

Addressing the people, Senator Uba discolosed that apart from equal representation, quality leadership, and economic resuscitation, his government if elected would accommodate people living with disabilities.

“With my experience in government, I have come to understand fully that democracy is a government of the people, for the people and by the people. Therefore, I make bold to say that anything short of that is at best quasi – democracy and that too,  is unacceptable. An ideal democracy is that which is people-oriented and people- driven; a system that makes room equitably for all of its intrinsic parts regardless of status and that is what Anambra state is going to enjoy”.
