In continuation of his avowed commitment to address water scarcity and other infrastructural deficit in some communities in the local government area, the people of Idigbo-Okpoma in Yala Local Government Area, Cross River State can now drink from a potable fresh water scheme courtesy of the laudable intervention by the Executive Chairman of Yala LGA, Hon. Barr. Fabian O Ogbeche who has brought succour to the community.
Prior to the execution of this project, the community had experienced severe water scarcity, hence an analysis of the ground water potential/quality was critically assessed to delineate the salt water incursion which is prevalent in the Okpoma axis of the Ogoja Sub-basine.
In appreciation, residents of the community led by His Royal Highness, Chief Eje Ipuole expressed gratitude to the Executive Chairman for his magnanimity and for remembering them at this critical period where all the wells and streams have dried up, saying the executive chairman has displayed uncommon love for the people of Idigbo community and it’s environ.
The elated Royal father, poured encomium on the chairman of council for his wisdom to deploy experts in the field of water engineering to establish the water scheme that will be very impactful on the lives of the people of Idigbo community.
Hon Fabian Ogbeche is committed to the provision of basic infrastructural facilities to better the standard of living of our people.
